Anisa Vashi

Strategy Team

Anisa is a junior studying Economics and the History of Science, Medicine and Public Health. In her free time, Anisa loves playing sports, hiking, and seeking out good food. She has been working with Havenly for about a year and currently works in strategic operations. 

Tran Dang

Strategy Team

Tran is a recent college graduate. She was born in Vietnam and immigrated to the US with her family when she was 5. She was inspired to join Havenly because of her mother, who worked in a Vietnamese restaurant to provide for her family in the US.  Tran plans to pursue medicine and become a physician who serves low-income, minority communities. 

Stephanie Hu

Strategy Team

Stephanie is a first-year in Saybrook College interested in studying Economics and Statistics & Data Science. She is passionate about the intersection of economics, entrepreneurship, and social good. She joined Havenly because she thought it was extremely admirable (and rare) to see Yale students continue giving back to New Haven post-graduation. 

Sarah Mckinnis

Product Development

Sarah is a sophomore majoring in political science and psychology, with an interest in human rights. She joined Havenly in her first-year Fall after being inspired by its mission, and currently works on the Product Development team. Outside Havenly, she is involved with Danceworks, club gymnastics, and the Globalist, an undergraduate international magazine. 


Qusay Omran

Marketing Team

Qusay is a junior Chemistry major originally from Bahrain who has been with Havenly since September 2018. He primarily works with the fellowship program and has recently focused on helping fellows tell their stories as a translator.

Julia Miranda

Product Development

Julia is a first year from Buenos Aires, Argentina majoring in History and Ethnicity, Race, and Migration. She joined Havenly this year as the Head of Kitchen Development, working on food safety and product development with Nieda. Before joining the team, she was a long-term humanitarian aid volunteer at Refugee Community Kitchen in Calais, France. 

Leila Iskandarani

Social Media Coordinator

Leila Iskandarani is a sophomore from Miami, FL studying history and economics. She joined Havenly Treats in September 2019 and is currently on the Marketing team, where she manages social media.

Alysha Siddiqi

Donor Relations

Alysha is a first-year intending to major in Political Science while following the pre-med track. She hopes to study healthcare inequities prevalent amongst marginalized groups, with a specific focus on immigrant communities and women. Alysha joined Havenly because of its unique mission in empowering the refugee/immigrant community in New Haven. 


Vanessa Yan

Tech & Analytics

Vanessa is a junior at Yale working towards a B.S. in Computer Science and a Combined B.S./M.S. in Statistics and Data Science. She is dedicated to building teams and tech platforms to solve meaningful social issues. Vanessa has been part of Havenly since its founding and built its Finance and Tech/Analytics teams.

Andre Costa

Business Analytics

Andre is a junior from West Hartford, CT who is  double majoring in Economics and Statistics & Data Science. Outside of Havenly, he was a Production & Design Editor at the Yale Daily News, and is currently Director of Development at Elmseed and a Tobin Research Assistant  analyzing migration data to the new world from Spain in the 15th and 16th centuries.

Ruqaiyah Damrah

Fellowship Curriculum Design

Ruqaiyah is a Yale College first-year intending to major in Ethics, Politics, and Economics. She is interested in nationalism and identity in the Middle East and its intersection with refugee studies, and is so excited for the work that Havenly is setting out to accomplish!

Catherine Ayers

Graphic Design

Catherine is a sophomore majoring in architecture in the design track and is interested in sustainable design. She joined Havenly in September 2018 and works in graphic design as part of the marketing team.
